KTH's and UMN's Workshop & Mingle

  • American Swedish Institute 2600 Park Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55407 United States (map)

Invitation on Behalf of KTH:

KTH Royal Institute of Technology and University of Minnesota, in partnership with the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce and the American Swedish Institute, cordially invite you to a May 16 workshop on KTH, UMN, and industry collaboration related to KTH students doing their degree project (Master Thesis) in the US.

The workshop will be followed by a mingle for a networking opportunity in the Swedish-American community and exploring collaboration opportunities between industry, academia and the public sector. Please note that we have limited seats for the workshop, so register in time. First come, first served applies.

About the event

KTH and UMN are developing a Master's Thesis program where KTH students will spend a semester at the UMN. A Master Thesis may also be written in collaboration with industry, where an industrial partner provides an issue or subject area they want to be explored or developed. Therefore, we invite you to the workshop in which KTH and UMN faculty members will share best practices, and we will discuss themes of common interest.

Following the workshop, we will host a mingle with drinks and hors d'oeuvres starting at 6 pm. You will hear brief remarks from Björn Thuresson, manager of KTH's Visualisation Studio VIC, and Assistant Professor Karthik Desingh from UMN (rumour has it that Karthik will bring his Boston Dynamics Spot robot).

This will allow you to connect with KTH alumni and KTH and UMN faculty. Please note you are more than welcome to join the mingle even if you cannot join the workshop.
